Based on the Abridged Riyad as-Salihin by Shaykh Yusuf ibn Isma'il an-Nabhani This abridgement of Imam Nawawi's great work is based on the format of Shaykh Yusuf ibn Isma'il an-Nabhani's Mukhtasar Riyad as-Salihin and incorporates the commentary on its hadiths found in Nuzhat al-Muttaqin: Sharh Riyad as-Salihin, by Dr Mustafa Sa'id al-Khin, Dr Mustafa al-Bugha, Muhyi ad-Din Mistu, 'Ali ash-Shirbaji and Muhammad Amin Lutfi. The resulting synthesis is at once comprehensive, concise and self-explanatory. It provides the reader with a commentary on Riyad as-Salihin which is not only practical and relevant to the lives of Muslims today, but which is accessible enough to serve as a regular source of reference for all Muslims, including students of the Din. In 13th Century Damascus, the renowned Hadith Scholar, juristic expert, academic luminary and pious ascetic, Imam Muhyi ad-Din Abu Zakariyya Yahya ibn Sharaf an-Nawawi set himself the task of compiling a short collection of rigorously authenticated Hadith, which will comprise for its reader a way to the hereafter. The resulting Riyad as-Salihin is a collection of almost two thousand Hadiths on numerous subjects, selected from the Sahih collections and other canonical books of the Sunnah.
